The Blueberry Run
Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia.
Distance: 16 km.
From the trailhead, at the Railway Museum in Musquodoboit Harbour to Gibralter Rock.
Moderate hike along an abandoned rail bed. The train which travelled this route was given the nickname, “the blueberry run” because people said it was so slow, you had time to pick blueberries from the train as you passed along the way.
This is a beautiful walk during all seasons with the new green of the leaves in spring and their dramatic foliage in the autumn.
