Found at the end of Hirtle’s Beach, Lunenburg County, Gaff point is a moderate walk which begins on the beach and then crawls up through weathered spruce. The trail opens into a field of wildflowers and then winds along a rugged coastline with spectacular views of the ocean, with the mingled smells of the salty air and the mixed forest undergrowth. You will return along the beach, kick off the boots and cool your feet in the salt water.
